Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated senior Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in a care home setting. This position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with both clients and staff. The Senior Support Worker will assist in implementing care plans and supervising daily activities, ensuring that residents receive the assistance they need to enhance their quality of life.
Duties
- Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to the needs of each client.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Supervise and support junior staff members, fostering a positive team environment.
- Maintain accurate records of resident progress and any changes in their condition.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to senior care and IT systems.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for all clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate approach towards clients.
- Familiarity with care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
- Ability to supervise staff while maintaining a supportive atmosphere.
- A valid driving licence and use of own car.
- IT proficiency for maintaining records and communicating with team members effectively.
