About the role

At Crawley Borough Council, we believe that everyone deserves financial stability and the opportunity to thrive. We’re looking for a Senior Financial Inclusion Officer who shares our commitment to supporting residents through life’s financial challenges - someone who wants to lead with empathy, empower others, and build a more inclusive community.

In this vital role, you’ll lead a dedicated team of Financial Inclusion Officers, guiding them to deliver life-changing advice and support to tenants. From helping families avoid rent arrears to connecting vulnerable individuals with essential services, your work will directly improve lives across Crawley.

What you'll be doing:

  • leading with purpose: inspire and support your team to provide compassionate, high-quality financial advice
  • creating connections: build partnerships with local organisations, welfare services, and community groups to expand support networks
  • driving change: shape and deliver Crawley Homes’ financial inclusion strategy, ensuring services evolve to meet residents’ needs
  • educating and empowering: train housing staff and raise awareness of financial inclusion through campaigns and briefings
  • protecting the vulnerable: respond to safeguarding concerns and ensure tenants receive the help they need.

We're looking for someone who:

  • has experience in housing, welfare, or money advice
  • is a natural leader who motivates and uplifts others
  • communicates with empathy and clarity
  • thrives on solving problems and improving services
  • holds a full UK driving licence and is willing to work flexibly to meet residents’ needs

We recommend that you submit your application as soon as possible, as we may close this advert before the stated closing date if enough applications are received.
