Senior Campaigns Manager
We’re looking for a strategic and creative Senior Campaigns Manager to lead our campaign efforts aimed at increasing awareness and understanding of our service among targeted audiences.
Contract: 2 Year FTC
Working hours: 35 hours per week is full time. Where possible, we are open to considering part time/flexible working patterns. Please let us know in your application your desired working pattern.

Reporting to: Head of Digital, Content and Brand

Our permanent hybrid policy sees us all working at least four days across a fortnight in the office.

As Senior Campaigns Manager, you’ll lead strategic efforts to raise awareness and understanding of our service among targeted audiences. You’ll manage the delivery of creative, measurable campaigns that remove barriers to access, build trust, and support engagement—working closely with internal teams and external agencies to align digital, content, and insight-driven activity with our organisational goals.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage our campaign proposition, high level strategy, desired behaviours and call to action
- Onboard suppliers
- Develop our audience segmentation and insight requirements
- Lead cross-team delivery to ensure aligned and consistent approach across outreach, media and PR, social and digital, paid and sponsorship and any other implementation
- Set our evaluation framework and implement continuous improvement
- Deliver implementation
- Develop a return on investment model for campaigns at the Financial Ombudsman Service
- Upskill inhouse teams on campaign approaches and marketing
To be considered for this role, you’ll need to show us that you’ve got the skills and capabilities. You’ll have to meet the following minimum criteria:
Minimum Criteria
- Having sound experience and knowledge of delivering campaigns within the public sector
- Working with and managing different agencies and suppliers simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a diverse range of senior stakeholders, building strong relationships and exercising influence to align interests, resolve conflicts, and drive successful outcomes across complex organisational setting
- Experience in reporting campaign outcomes including bringing cross-functional teams together and aligning activity to key performance indicators and success metrics.
Desirable Criteria
We would also like you to have the following skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, supported by the ability to apply internal and external insight
- Excellent planning and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to remain composed and resilient under pressure
- Inquisitive and logical thinker, confident in understanding stakeholder needs and providing accurate advice
