We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Self Employed Support Workers to join our team!
Role Overview:
As a family Support Worker in the community flexibility and adaptability is key for this role! You can take care of your own schedule and decide which days you want to work -Day, weekends and evenings are available.
You will be working with vulnerable young people and families up to the age of 18, this could be in the community, at contact centres or within a residential setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Care: Providing care and ensuring the safety and welfare of vulnerable young people, reporting any abuse or neglect.
- Mentorship: Act as a positive role model, offering guidance and support to help young people navigate challenges.
- Supervision and Safety: Maintain a safe environment by following all safety protocols and manage challenging behaviour with appropriate strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members and external partners to ensure activities align with the young persons needs and care plans.
- Empathy: Provide thoughtful, compassionate support — nurturing and encouraging those who need extra help, always with dignity and respect.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience: Previous experience working with children or young adults in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Education: Relevant qualifications in youth work, social care, or a related field are preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage and motivate young people.
- Attributes: A proactive and energetic attitude, with a passion for working with young people. A commitment to being a positive influence and role model.
- Requirements: A valid UK driver's licence and a clear Enhanced DBS check or willing to complete one.
