Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Courier Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely delivery of packages and documents, ensuring that all items are handled with care. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. As a Courier Driver, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver single or multi package jobs on dedicated same-day routes, inclusive of long-distance, nationwide deliveries.
- Utilise the Courier Exchange platform under the business name to bid for your own work.
- Ensure timely and safe deliveries to customers.
- Load and unload packages with proper handling to prevent damage.
- Write clear and legible proof of delivery (POD) and maintain accurate delivery records with appropriate & consistent communication with the client.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
What We Offer:
- Weekly pay – OTE from £1,000 to £1,500 gross (excluding van wear and tear and fuel costs).
- Flexibility to choose your own working hours.
- Opportunity for direct work from partner companies, available both day and night.
Requirements:
- Must be within a 30-minute drive of Slinfold.
- Own a reliable van with a clean driving license and demonstrate safe driving practices.
- Capable of driving long-distances.
- Ability to load and unload packages carefully.
- Write clear and legible PODs and maintain accurate delivery records.
- Fluency in English and excellent communication skills.
- Proficient use of smartphone apps, including, WhatsApp, Google Maps, Courier Exchange.
- Polite, personable, and able to report to clients effectively.
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable with navigating unfamiliar areas and using initiative to find locations.
