Join Our Team as a Security Patrolling Officer
The main responsibility of a Security Patrolling Officer is to play a vital role in safeguarding people, property, and assets. The responsibilities encompass a range of tasks, including surveillance and patrolling to prevent and detect security breaches, controlling access to facilities, and responding promptly to emergencies.
About the Role:
As a Security Patrolling Officer you will be responsible for:
Meeting and greeting of visitors and guests in a professional and friendly manner
Site security patrols
Conducting access control and badge verifications
Loading bay duties
Acting as First Aider and Fire marshal
Provide a highly visible proactive security presence on and around the sites with emphasis on access and egress controls.
Monitoring of CCTV systems — review, record and escalate incidents, fault finding and reporting
Control of access to dedicated parts of site utilising existing barriers and physical presence.
Contractor control — booking in/out of contractors, issuing of vehicle passes, monitoring adherence to parking restrictions.
Monitoring routine vehicle access using existing computer and paper-based recording methods e.g. deliveries, couriers, postal vehicles etc.
Respond immediately to emergencies and requests for assistance.
Report on instances where property may be at risk on site (Theft, Damage etc).
Operate stop and search policies when instructed by the Site Team Leader.
Carry out initial investigations and report both verbally and in writing on incidents, suspicious activities, objects and vehicles.
Perform instructed locking and unlocking duties.
Ensure keys are controlled in accordance with procedures laid down in the Assignment Instructions and the Standard Operational Procedures.

Appropriate knowledge of security operations
Good working knowledge of IT systems
Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure

Demonstrate reliability including the ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and attendance in order to ensure team effectiveness and availability
Able to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team
