Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires keen observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to loss prevention strategies.
Duties:
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, providing first aid when necessary.
- Implement loss prevention measures to protect assets and minimise theft.
- Prepare detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and any security breaches.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement when required and assist in investigations as needed.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times while on duty.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in security or a related field is preferred but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
- Proficiency in operating CCTV equipment and other security technology.
- First aid certification is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held is essential.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals.
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- A valid SIA badge is must.
