The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for granting and monitoring access to our site, conducting patrols, responding to alarms and security breaches, and enforcing safety procedures. You will also assist visitors, residents, contractors, and emergency services while monitoring CCTV, controlling key access, and reporting security concerns. You must hold a current SIA licence.
About You
We are seeking a vigilant and responsible individual. The Security Officer plays a vital role in protecting our vast site, museum, ships, employees, residents and visitors. You must have a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to safety, security, and maintaining the integrity of the Historic Dockyard site.

Qualifications
- Valid SIA license
- Strong surveillance skills and experience in loss prevention
- Proficient in operating CCTV systems
- Knowledge of first aid procedures
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and strong observational skills
