Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of vehicle operation and maintenance, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to navigate various routes effectively.
Duties
- Safely operate vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles, addressing minor repairs as necessary.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all trips undertaken.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, ensuring client satisfaction.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, with a valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and team members effectively.
- Ability to navigate using maps or GPS systems efficiently.
