Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the operations team by ensuring that processes run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Assist in the operation of machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
- Monitor production processes and report any issues or discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless workflow.
- Perform basic maths calculations related to production metrics and inventory management.
- Provide support in training new staff members as needed.
- Utilise phone etiquette when communicating with clients or suppliers, ensuring professionalism at all times.
- Contribute to team meetings by sharing insights and suggestions for process improvements.
Experience
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or operational role is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English is required; bilingual or multilingual candidates (including Spanish) are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on clear instructions and teamwork.
- Basic maths skills for handling production data and inventory counts.
- A positive attitude towards learning new skills and adapting to changing environments.
