Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Orthodontist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of orthodontic principles and techniques, with the ability to diagnose and treat dental irregularities. This role requires excellent communication skills and a patient-centric approach to care, ensuring that each patient receives tailored treatment plans that meet their individual needs.
This is a salaried position with us for £8k per month.
Duties
- Conduct thorough examinations of patients' teeth, jaws and facial structure to assess orthodontic needs.
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans using diagnostic tools including medical imaging.
- Utilise CAD technology for designing and implementing orthodontic appliances.
- Monitor patient progress throughout treatment and making adjustments as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options, procedures and oral hygiene practices.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists, nurses and other specialists.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with health regulations.
- Stay updated on advancements in orthodontic techniques and technologies.
Experience
- A degree in Dentistry followed by a recognised postgraduate qualification in Orthodontics.
- Proven experience in an orthodontic setting is preferred but not mandatory for recent graduates.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy related to dental structures and facial aesthetics.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques used in orthodontics is advantageous.
- Proficiency in CAD software for the design of orthodontic devices is desirable.
