Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Roofer/Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn while contributing to various roofing projects. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Duties
- Fabricate and install roofing materials according to specifications.
- Weld components as necessary for roofing applications.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Assist in building structures, ensuring they are plumb and level.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required during installation and repair processes.
- Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople on-site to ensure quality workmanship.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Experience
- Previous experience in roofing or construction is preferred but not essential; we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction techniques is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights safely.
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills related to roofing and construction tasks is essential.
