Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Roofer to join our team. As a Roofer/labourer you will be responsible for assisting with various roofing projects, performing general labor tasks, and ensuring the overall success of our roofing operations
*Must have a UK driving license and experience in roofing*
Areas of expertise:
Full re roof in concrete tiles, clay, slate and cement fibre. All aspects of flat EPDM rubber roofing. skylight installations and velux windows. Fascia and soffit replacements. Guttering installations.
Duties:
- Assist with the installation and repair of roofs, including tiles, and roofing materials
- Prepare work areas by removing debris and cleaning surfaces
- Measure and cut roofing materials to fit specific dimensions
- Assist with the application of waterproofing materials and sealants
- Collaborate with the roofing team to ensure efficient project completion
- Perform general labour tasks such as lifting heavy materials, operating hand tools, and cleaning work areas
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Skills:
- Have an understanding of roofing techniques and previous roofing experience (2+ years)
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, saws, and drills
- Ability to fabricate and install various roofing components based on schematics or instructions
- Capable of performing heavy lifting and manual labor tasks in all weather conditions
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work well in a team environment
