About the position
Council’s Operations Department is looking for a Road & Drainage Maintenance Officer who will be responsible the support civil infrastructure maintenance tasks supporting road and drainage works across the municipality. This position is to primarily operate Council's Drainage Combination Unit.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Operating Drainage Combination Unit
- Perform all civil infrastructure maintenance tasks and repairs in accordance with works programs and management systems. Works include Parks Infrastructure, asphalt, pit, concrete and minor civil repairs across roads signage and drainage areas.
- Cleaning activities across all of Civil Infrastructure maintenance works
- Undertake other duties as may be required due to varying workloads within the City Works Section.
About you
- You hold a Current Driver Licence
- You hold a Heavy Rigid Truck Licence
- You have sound knowledge and experience in operating a Drainage Combination Unit
- Construction or trades related industry experience is highly regarded
- Industry experience and knowledge in roads, signage and drainage maintenance experience is highly regarded

This full time position is a Band 3A currently remunerated at $69,665.28 per annum, plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
