Returns Operative and aftersales advisor - 37.5 hours per week
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced candidate to join our After Sales team, based in Wigan. The successful candidate will be part of a multi-channel retailer who is enjoying continued year on year growth and is looking for a driven individual to come in and be part of this!
You will be responsible for all aspects of returns and after sales, ensuring that our customers receive outstanding service. The role involves gathering all relevant information for individual customer cases and deciding how to proceed with, or reject a warranty claim. It will involve manual work such as sorting through returned products, product repairs and shipping out warranty claims and spare part items.
An excellent telephone manner along with a confident and personable demeanour is required. The ability to problem solve and work under pressure is essential as you will have to deal with difficult customer situations and so the ability to resolve these to a positive end is required.
You will also need to liaise with the different departments of the business and staff at all levels including warehouse staff and couriers.
Our ideal candidate will be a multi-tasker, have excellent attention to detail, great organisational skills, have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office as well as the ability to work alone when needed
The role of Returns Operative and aftersales advisor at our organisation is vital and we are looking for someone who our customers can trust and relate to. You will need to retain a vast amount of product knowledge which you will impart to our customers.
Main Duties
- Inspecting items for warranty issues
- Assisting with exchanges and refunds
- Liaising with customers and manufacturers via telephone, email and Gnatta
- Dealing with outlet stock and returned stock (this includes lifting some large and heavy items on occasions)
- Arranging deliveries
- Liaising with couriers and organising collections
- General upkeep of work spaces
Essential Skills Required

Hours of work:
- Contracted to 37.5 hours a week
- 9.00am - 5.00pm
- Weekend working required (On a rota'd basis)
- Bank holidays required
