Role Description: Retrofit Designer
Competitive Salary + Bonus + Benefits

Application question(s):
- Which software or tools do you use in your retrofit design work? For example: Design SAP, SketchUp, AutoCAD, U-value calculators, or condensation risk assessment tools. How confident are you in using these for performance modelling and producing compliant design outputs?
- Tell us about a time you had to challenge or revise a proposed retrofit plan. What was the issue, how did you approach it, and what was the outcome?
- Have you worked with older or traditionally constructed properties? If so, how do you adapt your design approach for these buildings - particularly around moisture risk, detailing, and ventilation?
- Could you briefly outline your qualifications related to retrofit design? For example, are you a qualified Retrofit Designer or currently working towards it? What’s your background in architecture, energy consultancy, or building performance?
- What’s your experience designing retrofit strategies under PAS 2035? What roles have you typically worked alongside (e.g. Assessors, Coordinators, Installers), and how do you approach balancing cost, performance, and buildability in your designs?
