Reporting into the Area Manager the Retail & Post Office Team Lead will join our team and help deliver a fast, friendly, and expert customer experience every single day. If you thrive leading a team in a busy retail environment, driving sales excites you, and you are a fast learner when it comes to product knowledge, this could be the perfect role for you.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage and motivate your team of retail assistants, ensuring they have everything they need to be successful and achieve 5* reviews.
- Lead by example providing outstanding customer service with a friendly and professional approach.
- Be accountable for all cash handling and payment processes as well as store security/key holding.
- Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of retail products, services, and policies and quickly bring yourself and your team up to speed with new products and serviced as they are introduced.
- Drive store sales targets, up-skilling and supporting your team in sales training resulting in increased revenue and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure the store adheres to product placement and replenishment guidelines and maintaining an organised, clean and welcoming store as well as a secure environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Someone who leads by example, displaying exemplary skills in sales, organisation and teamwork.
- Retail experience is a must – if you’ve led a team in a busy store before, you’ll fit right in - we prefer a minimum of 4 years prior retail experience with considerable experience of people management.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving operational excellence.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Sound decision-making abilities and the capacity to handle challenging situations effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
- The right to work in the UK for at least 12 months from your start date.
- The ability to lift and carry up to 12kg (those parcels don’t move themselves!).
- You must be able to pass an enhanced DBS check.

Our branches will operates 7 days a week, so you'll be expected to work some weekend shifts on Saturdays and Sundays.
You may also be asked occasionally to work in a store within 15-30 minutes travel from this location to cover staff leave and sickness.
