Residential Support Worker - Clervaux Rise
40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Salary Range £27,808 – £29,236 per annum
*Sleep-ins paid at an extra £78.48 per night (this equates to approximately £3,500 additional payment when working 1 sleep-in shift per week)*

This role can be both physically and emotionally demanding, and you must have the confidence and patience to deal/manage with the challenging behaviours that young adults can present. However, the role is also extremely rewarding, and you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of the young people in your care.
We are looking to appoint Residential Support Workers to work closely with young adults, as part of a team that provides consistent support to a small number of young adults with learning difficulties across both the day and residential provision. You will support the young adults to access education and social enterprise opportunities during the day and then support them in a home life setting during the evenings and weekends. You will have responsibility for promoting and ensuring their safety, care, wellbeing, learning and development to enable their growth in confidence and social and practical skills.
Prospective candidates should be able to demonstrate:
- A patient, caring, compassionate and young adults centered approach
- Emotional intelligence and resilience with the ability to react calmly in challenging situations
- Excellent observational and communication skills and the ability to problem-solve and think creatively to enable our young adults to reach their full potential
- Experience of working as a support worker with young adults with challenging behaviours
- Flexible availability to cover shifts across 7 days and include morning, afternoons and evenings
- Experience of waking nights
This role will involve:
- Transporting participants across locations so a driving license is essential
- Attending role specific training which includes 2 overnight stays.
- Working on a shift basis covering day, evenings and weekends, waking nights and sleep-ins.
