Overview
Iconic is looking for a sharp, culturally fluent Strategy Director to lead brand and marketing strategy across diverse markets — with a focus on the UK, Germany, Turkey, and the broader EMEA region.
The main duties will involve
- Advising clients on the development of marketing and advertising strategies for brand entry into new markets, product re-launches, new product introductions, and brand repositioning initiatives
- Leading brand strategy development across diverse regional and global markets ensuring relevance and impact in culturally varied contexts
- Conducting in-depth analysis of market position and customer perceptions to inform strategic direction and brand approach
- Partnering with C-suite executives to define growth territories, brand positioning, and innovation pipelines aligned with long-term business objectives
- Shaping and executing integrated marketing strategies that support market expansion, audience engagement, and competitive differentiation
- Driving strategic planning for full-funnel marketing campaigns — from audience segmentation to communications architecture and go-to-market planning
- Creating and managing multi-market strategy briefs, synthesising regional insights to unlock bold, insight-led thinking
- Translating market research and customer intelligence into clear creative briefs, strategic frameworks, and innovation roadmaps
- Leading cross-functional collaboration with internal strategy, creative, and insights teams to deliver high-impact brand platforms
- Providing strategic counsel to clients and stakeholders, aligning marketing strategy with evolving brand, consumer, and commercial goal
- Inspire and guide internal and external creative teams toward truly iconic brand work
Skills & Experience
- 10+ years in brand/marketing strategy roles at top multinational companies, consultancies or agencies
- A proven track record of delivering impactful strategies across sectors (FMCG, tech, retail, etc.)
- Strategic agility and cultural fluency across the UK, Germany, Turkey, EMEA, and the US
- Strong analytical, storytelling, and facilitation skills
- Fluent in English and Turkish is a requirement. Other European languages are a plus
