Are you a compassionate and motivated individual who wants to change people’s lives? Our team in Truro is looking for two Recovery Workers to join them in providing high-quality recovery care to a diverse client group. If you are enthusiastic, creative and passionate about helping others, we’d love to hear from you.

As a leading charity supporting people with drug, alcohol, and mental health challenges, we operate over 80 services across England and Scotland, providing free and confidential support to more than 100,000 people each year.

As an organisation we do not have a sponsorship license and are unable to provide sponsorship to live and work in the UK. As such candidates are required to hold the right to work in the UK for the duration of the contract you are applying for.

Job Description

We are part of a large integrated drug and alcohol service working with some of Cornwall's most excluded and disadvantaged people. Successful candidates will work as part of the adult community team, alongside in-house services which include outreach, hospital, clinical, criminal justice and a residential rehabilitation facility.

About the role

Our Recovery Workers play a vital role in supporting clients to identify their goals, ambitions, and passions. You’ll work with them to create the best treatment plan for their needs and to guide them on their path to recovery.

This is a frontline role at With You, where you will provide continuity of care through effective partnership working, care coordination, key work responsibilities, and intervention delivery. You will manage an active caseload, connecting quickly with clients and ensuring they’re always treated with respect and dignity.

What we’re looking for

Our Recovery Workers work with our clients to help them determine what their goals, ambitions, and passions are, working with them to create the best treatment plan for their needs and to get them back onto the path to recovery. This is an integral role for With You.

You will be a compassionate and motivated individual, with an exceptional ability to build meaningful relationships. We’re looking for demonstrable experience working within the health, social care, criminal justice, or other specialist setting, ideally with those with substance misuse issues. You will be highly organised, with excellent communication skills, and able to manage your time effectively, working as part of a team to ensure a high-quality service is maintained. Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do, with a positive and engaging approach to our service users and key stakeholders.

As part of this role, you will be required to work on a Saturday between the hours of 9am - 5pm on a rotational basis. Hours worked during this time will be toiled between Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.
