Lindale Recovery Service aims to provide a safe and secure environment for the rehabilitation and recovery of our residents, who may have multiple vulnerabilities, supporting them on their recovery journey using group processes, one to one support and alternative therapies. Along with our 12 week rehabilitation programme, our team also supports our clients in gaining employment, benefits, and education, amongst many other life enhancing necessities for independent living.
We are currently recruiting for a Support Worker to provide assistance and support to vulnerable individuals in need. We are looking for a flexible attitude to working hours including some on-call duties and willingness to cover absence and holidays. Lived experience is preferred. Driving Licence is essential.
o This is a full time permanent position
o 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday with some on-call working
o Location – Birmingham and Solihull area
o Salary £24,500 - £27,500 per annum
Overall duties include:
Ø Caseload management of service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey
Ø Prevent the escalation of substance misuse, reduce the harm of any current use and support the move towards behaviours that support health and wellbeing
Ø Identify, monitor and review the support needs of residents and make referrals to the appropriate statutory or voluntary agencies on behalf of the resident
Ø Prepare and review housing support plans and risk assessments, carry out any follow up actions and monitor outcomes for each resident
Ø Supervise arrangements and collect monies where necessary. Maintain accurate records of all income collected and spent
Ø To work with service users to develop appropriate move-on options
Ø Support and organise communal activities with residents, to include health and wellbeing and education events
Ø Attend staff meetings, training sessions and other meetings as required
Ø Form part of the Emergency On-Call rota system
