This role will be working Monday to Friday, 06:15am to 2:15pm / 2:15pm to 10:15pm on a rotational basis.
Purpose of Role:
- To supervise the Mirfield raw materials and finished goods warehouse team to meet production and despatching requirements whilst maintaining accurate stock levels.
- To achieve this you will personally and through the team monitor and maintain stock levels within D365 in line with the physical movement and consumption of materials. Where discrepancies occur, you will act quickly to investigate, reconcile and resolve differences and take action to avoid issues repeating.
- You will coordinate the team to ensure that workloads remain balanced across the shift and all activities happen accurately, safely and in a timely manner. You will achieve this by flexing the activities across the team and moving people or activities as appropriate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage daily stock control operations within the warehouse.
- Fibre stock level management.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using D365 system and Warehouse Management App.
- Ensure all stock movements are properly recorded and reported.
- Monitor stock levels.
- Review of stock reports (Power BI)
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
- Liaise with 3rd party warehouse, supply chain team to manage incoming stock.
- Ensure the efficient receipt and storage of raw materials
- Ensure stock is correctly labelled, stored, and organised for optimal space and access.
- Implement and improve stock control procedures and processes.
- Ensure all warehouse processes are compliant with company policies, health and safety standards
- Supervise and support warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to health & safety and HR protocols.
- Balance activities across the team dynamically to meet production and despatching requirements.
- Train and mentor warehouse operatives on best practices for stock handling.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a warehouse stock control or supervisory role (not essential).
- Strong knowledge Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Forklift license
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends or evenings if needed.
