Our Quality Assurance Tester is a professional testing agent responsible for validating the complete and high-quality software product before it is released to the production environment. The QA Tester works collaboratively with the wider scrum team and plays a critical role in the delivery of new product capabilities. This individual partners with Securities Services Technology teams and Citi technologists to drive quality across the software development life cycle.

Our QA Tester has the opportunity to contribute to the Securities Services Business in achieving their goals of increasing revenue, while decreasing system errors and outages. They work with creative and innovative individuals both in the business and technology. The QA Tester appreciates the challenges and complexity of a global system environment.

Our Custody Reporting Data Store is one of the cornerstones of the Data & Digital offering giving both direct and global custody clients 24/7 access to the information about their transaction, positions and cash movements. This data store is the foundation to a newly launched reporting platform resulting in collaboration with an extensive range of both upstream and downstream partners.

The QA Team is looking for an experienced Tester to join the team, to scale the global quality program, and be part of the Data & Digital QA team globally. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Tester to form part of the QA offering. We require a passionate and experienced individual who is keen to be integral to success.

Responsibilities:

  • Execution of manual testing for both new functionality and regression testing
  • Be an active and vocal participant in scrum ceremonies
  • Contribute to automation and regression-test growth – including buildout of F2B with partner applications to reduce time to market
  • Ensure high-quality test artefacts and audit-readiness at all times
  • Adhere to and implement QA organisation standardisation initiatives
  • Track and report testing status to application stakeholders
  • Active participation in QA transformation, contributing to initiatives and innovation
  • Ownership of assigned areas within the Unified Testing Transformation in partnership with Operations

Qualifications:

  • Excellent spoken and written communication is required
  • Experience in use of industry standard toolsets such as Jira, Zephyr, HPALM etc
  • Strong knowledge on writing SQL queries- including complex SQL joins
  • Experience with DB Store procedure, function, view, data partition
  • Previous experience with SQL server, Oracle and Impala is essential
  • Previous experience with REST API services testing using Postman is beneficial
  • Hands-on experience in automation test scripting using Selenium, Cucumber with Java
  • Understanding of large-scale data platforms such as Hadoop, Hive, HBase databases will be advantageous
  • Knowledge on various testing phases including functional, automation & NFT is essential
  • Financial services domain knowledge – especially Custody and/or Funds is beneficial

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science
  • ISTQB certified beneficial
  • Agile/Scrum certified beneficial
