Purchasing and Administration Executive
We’re looking for a motivated purchasing and administration executive to support our established business into an exciting new era.
Who are we?
Lehmann Ingredients was founded in 1988 by Guy Lehmann. We’ve remained family owned and operated since that day, now with a team of 12, working with ingredient suppliers across the world. Our expertise lays in helping manufacturers in the food, drinks, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries source the ingredients they require to sustain their production and product development. With our established supplier base, we navigate the markets for our clients to provide competitive pricing and assurance of quality, manage the importation of ingredients, and advise our clients on trends and how to keep up with them.
Who are you?
We are looking for an enthusiastic administration executive. A solution orientated individual with an ability to deliver exceptional customer service, you will be able to cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with clients and suppliers alike.
You will learn about our complex, diverse and evolving ingredients range, input customer orders, place purchase orders and monitor purchasing requirements, manage stocking levels required to ensure an uninterrupted supply whilst ensuring turnover of stock and minimising costs. Customer experience is an important area for us and the candidate will need exceptional interpersonal skills, to manage the customer order process.
A person who thrives in a collaborative team environment to navigate the intricacies of the supply chain to achieve the best outcome from our clients.
Essential experience for this role:
· Excellent written and oral communication skills and a passion for customer service.
· Experience using ERP software for placing orders, customer relations and managing stock levels
· Ability to present information in an easy-to-understand manner.
· An ability to build long lasting relationships with clients and suppliers.
· Excellent organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail.
· A tangible understanding of our industry.
Nice to haves for this role:
· An understanding of our ingredients would be highly advantageous.
· Experience of ingredient sales within the Food & Drink, Pharmaceutical, Animal Nutrition or Personal Care categories.
What You’ll Do:
· Place purchase orders
· Manage stocking levels
· Ensure rotation of stock, using a common-sense approach to picking orders
· Input Customer orders
· Answer customer queries, monitor customer deliveries, amend and communicate as necessary
· Update contracts, customer information and ensure accurate input of costs, additional customer requirements on sales and purchase orders
Key details about this role:
· The location of this role will at our Lancaster office.
· This is a full time, permanent contract role. 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
· We’re offering a salary of £33,000 P/A, based upon experience and candidate fit.
· 25 Days holiday per year + Christmas Office Closure + Bank Holidays.
· You’ll report to our directors.
· Proposed Start Date is October 25.
· A UK driving license required.
