We offer an end to end service for clients (search, build & property management) but are primarily a build/construction company that works on residential and commercial properties. The Role:
Zebra are looking to employ a project administrator to help manage some of our construction projects. With the business entering a growth period, we are in need of a skilled, organised and driven coordinator to join the core team, to bring focus and good rigour to the back of house operation of our project activities. This role is perfect for someone looking to learn about construction and gain experience before being promoted within Zebra.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain project plans across multiple projects, working with onsite management to ensure the right workforce is allocated to the right project at the right time
- Price, book and arrange delivery of materials and arrival of subcontractors in good time
- Work with Commercial to ensure best pricing is achieved for purchases large and small
- Maintain and regularly update project records, including RAMS, drawings, 3rd party drawing portals
- Ensure high quality records are kept of project related health and safety paperwork, training records, etc.
- Ensure site teams are fully prepared with relevant drawings, materials, and labour in advance of site activities.
- Work closely with the Directors to ensure the fundamental processes and routines of projects are in place and followed
- Contribute needs and requirements for procurement of subcontractors and materials
- Accurate and timely recording of all project information
- Proactively collect, record and store project and process documentation
- Take ownership of the back office project processing to allow the growth of the overall project management capability
- Assist in gathering of supplier quotes, orders, and tracking of the same to delivery on time
Candidates should have the following attributes:
- Organised and methodical, able to prioritise independently
- Process oriented approach, methodical, thorough with good attention to detail
- Previous experience of a project based environment is essential; experience within a construction/related context is an advantage
- Motivated and self sufficient in style, able to muck in and enjoy a small, busy environment
- Previous exposure to commercial elements of projects is also very helpful
- Good written and spoken English
- Good fundamental IT skills - Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Word and Excel
- Ability to work and travel within the M25 (our office is in Battersea)
The successful candidate will need to be willing to learn ‘the Zebra way’, have a drive to be successful, be comfortable working/communicating with both clients and our build team. The successful candidate will be reporting to our project managers and as such this role would suit someone with less experience but a willingness to learn.
