An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Production Supervisor to join the Production team at our Uxbridge site.
As a Production Supervisor, you will assist the Production Manager and oversee the teams in ensuring the smooth running of all aspects of daily tasks within production. To ensure the productivity and efficiency of the team in delivering production requirements.
Main duties include (but not limited to):
Production:
- Ensure daily production plan requirements are met without compromising on food safety, hygiene, quality and legality. Maximising on productivity and efficiency within a High Care environment.
- Deliver weekly team briefings to ensure all team members are fully updated with requirements and news and encourage team performance through open and effective communication.
- Coordinate activities and tasks assigned to the team leaders within their various teams.
- Work with team leaders to ensure minor line issues are escalated correctly and resolved effectively and efficiently.
- Work with QA, despatch, warehouse and maintenance to maximise productivity and efficiency in high care areas.
- Ensure that all production activities comply with product specification by monitoring the production process and ensuring basic testing and quality checks are properly carried out.
- Ensure that all required paperwork is correctly completed and signed off before, during and at the end of every product run.
- Liaise with team leaders, QA, despatch, maintenance, hygiene and warehouse to maintain high standards of housekeeping and effectively plan with relevant departments to ensure targets are being met.
- Arrange and support the training for new operatives on the line.
- Provide training and support to team leaders and other operatives where required.
- Work closely with Team Leaders and Line Leaders to identify skills gaps and provide training where needed.

- Assist Technical and Development with carrying out factory trials for new product development.
Food Safety and Hygiene:
- Comply with the company food safety and hygiene policies and procedures at ALL times.
- Work with the team to ensure a high level of food safety and hygiene is maintained at all times.
- Oversee the correct storage of goods and raw materials within the factory and/or warehouse.
Requirements, experience and person specification
- Good understanding of English, both written and verbal
- Able to communicate effectively with management and colleagues within a multicultural workforce
- Good numerical and organisational skills
- Able to work quickly and methodically and maintain a high level of concentration at all times
- Able to lead by example and demonstrate a full understanding of the requirements within the team
- Able to follow instruction and show initiative where needed
- Quick Learner who is mechanically minded
- Flexible and positive attitude towards work
- Physically fit to carry out duties involving lifting, carrying, twisting, bending, stretching, reaching etc.
Additional Information:
- Monday-Friday: 07:00-15:00 (40 hours contract) with a 30 min break
- 2 years plus experience in chilled food as a minimum
