A little bit about the role...
Key Deliverables
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Multi-Skilled Operatives (MSOs) and Section Leaders, ensuring the assembly of products meets precise quality standards and technical specifications.
- Lead the team to produce and assembly to time critical production schedules.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by analysing performance data, identifying key losses (e.g., availability, performance, quality), and implementing targeted corrective actions with the team.
- Ensure thorough quality inspections and/or testing are conducted as required at relevant work stations before products are ready for dispatch.
Monitor, input and continuously update the training matrix including the timely notification and booking of training for direct reports.
Ensure the work environment maintains & continuously improves 5S and safety standards.
Effective monitoring, organisation and/or communication of stock levels.
Collaborate proactively with Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, Inventory and Logistics departments to resolve production issues, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow throughout the shift.
Responsible for the safe operation and working practice of the shift; operating a wide range of instruments and tools provided.
Provide timely updates and reports on works, issues and progress.
Effective management of instruments, tools and machinery ensuring timely maintenance checks (daily/weekly/monthly), certification and repairs.
Ensure compliance to the organisation’s safe system of work at all times.
Effective management of direct reports including timely execution of probationary reviews, PDR’s and 1 to 1’s.
- To carry out any tasks or duties as required by the organisation.

Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience as a Production Supervisor/Manager or similar role within a manufacturing, assembly, or construction environment.
- Demonstrable knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke).
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
