Job Title: Production Operative
Scope of the Job
Able to support the co-ordinator in ensuring that the production plan is met, so that customer orders are delivered on time and in full and to specification.
To work closely with the Process Control Team ensuring that product is made right first time, meets specification and is safe and fit for purpose.
Supporting the Supervisor in minimizing waste and ensuring output targets are met.
Responsible for obtaining the correct raw materials and packaging from the warehouse and updating the stock information using the MRP Sage system. Also responsible for ensuring that the materials selected are used in order on the basis of first in, first out.
Responsible for ensuring that all training programmes are taken seriously and that any concerns regarding own competence are reported to the supervisor relating to the use of equipment, the understanding all the key food safety and quality checks and the importance of traceability requirements.
Reporting of any faults or damage to equipment to the coordinator.
Responsible for feeding issues back to the Supervisor, such as a potential shortage of raw materials, packaging or other similar items.
Responsible for cleaning own work area and ensuring the clean-as-you-go policy is met. At shift handover, the plant shall be clean and tidy.
Responsible for the accurate completion of all production records, ensuring that the records are filled in correctly and completely during the shift.
Responsible for supporting and participating in the recycling of all recyclable materials in line with the Company policy, including packaging materials, downgrade and other similar materials.
Responsible for monitoring critical control points (CCPs) and ensuring that all CCPs are in control. Where control is lost, the supervisor shall be informed immediately.
Responsible for ensuring that all health and safety procedures are followed and that near misses and accidents are promptly reported to the Supervisor.
Be able to work independently and part of a small team,
There are roles that are dayshift and backshift rotating and some that are dayshift, backshift and Nighthsift rotating.
Must be able to attend work 06:00 early shift, 14:00 backshift and 22:00 Nightshift. if not local your own transport is vital.
