We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Operative to join our diverse and growing production team, working 38 hours per week, with flexible working hours/days available between Monday and Friday to facilitate other commitments (Family, caring etc.).
As a company, we have invested heavily over the last number of years on a new factory, machinery, and staff to keep up with increased workload from new customers. With further growth and investments in new machinery and an assembly room, we are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team and help make a difference.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assemble and pack plastic components according to established procedures and guidelines
- Carry out various production tasks, including overseeing machinery, inspecting, assembly, and packing
- Perform quality checks to ensure that all units meet our stringent quality standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, technical and quality, to provide feedback on product improvements and optimisation
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, following health and safety guidelines
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity
- Contribute to a positive team environment by actively engaging in team meetings and sharing ideas
Essential Criteria:
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- The ability to work quickly and methodically
- A team player mindset with excellent communication skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and evolving environment
- For this role, a full driving license is essential.
Desirable Criteria:
- GCSE English and Maths
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment
