PRIMARY ROLE

As a member of the Production Team, the Production Operator will be a contributor to the overall success and direction of the company and in determining its future.

This will be achieved by working together, in the best interests of the company, with all other members of the company.

The Production Operators focus will be to produce and pack parts, to the correct quantity, on time and to the correct specification to ensure customer needs are met.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

· Undertake production department tasks as allocated by the Supervisory and Departmental Managers.

· Undertake the sorting and packing of goods, to the correct quantity and in the correct method, as per customer requirements.

· Support activities in other work areas as directed by Supervisory and Departmental Managers.

· Produce parts, or complete tasks, in line with output targets set by Management, with a view to maximising output, minimising scrap and identifying/communicating opportunities to improve the above.

· Maintain effective house-keeping both in own work area, and surrounding work areas.

· Complete production documentation, work records, reporting of quantities and times on the appropriate IT system (where training allows) as required and directed. Advise management of any variations to process/output identified.

· Practice and actively promote; team working / collaboration with own / other departments – minimising disruption, and maximising opportunities, gaining insight from, and utilising the skills of, the wider workforce.

· Be aware of, and work actively towards, indicated Departmental Targets, ensuring that your own actions contribute actively to the improvement of departmental performance.

· Take responsibility for your own actions, ensuring that barriers to success are removed, by yourself if possible, or advised to others if beyond your control.

· To carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s Terms and Conditions of Employment.

· Work to deadlines and to; plan, organise, and prioritise own and others work activities over weeks/months ahead to satisfy customer expectations.

· To always be honest, respectful of all employees and customers and to adhere to the Company’s Equality and Diversity Policy.

· To ensure that duties are undertaken with due regard and compliance of the appropriate legislation and to carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.

· Develop effective working relationships with all levels of staff and customers

· To carry out any other reasonable tasks, as instructed by the Production Manager or Production Supervisors

Pay: From £13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
