ROLE DESCRIPTION

They are looking for a Solution Architect to design and oversee the implementation of EPM solutions, ensuring they deliver transformative value for clients. This role is pivotal in the pre-sales phase, identifying customer needs, defining project scopes, and presenting tailored solutions to drive efficiency and process improvement.

You will collaborate closely with Business Development and Account Management, leading product demos, proof of concepts, and technical presentations while articulating the value proposition to senior stakeholders, including CFOs and Heads of Finance. As a trusted advisor, you will help shape customer strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and ongoing benefit realisation.


Additionally, you will maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal teams, staying ahead of product developments, regulatory changes, and best practices to support successful project delivery.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

New Business Pre-sales duties:


  • Complete Request for Information / Request for Proposal Documents
  • Travel to customer sites
  • Run discovery sessions (remote & on-site)
  • Prepare demonstration data and demo scripts
  • Perform demonstrations (on-site or remote)
  • Run Pre-sales Checklist calls (on-site or remote)
  • Complete Pre-sales Checklists
  • Complete scope text
  • Assist other line of business pre-sales to determine requirements (CaMs and Cloud ERP)
  • Complete existing customer strategic reviews (on-site or remote)
  • Pre-sales for existing customer larger projects e.g. full re-implementation

Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive solutions and smooth transitions from pre-sales to implementation.

Problem Solving: Apply problem-solving skills to identify and resolve challenges during the pre-sales phase, ensuring customer satisfaction and alignment.

Time Management: Manage multiple tasks and deadlines, ensuring timely completion of client proposals, demos, and other pre-sales activities.

Resilience: Demonstrate resilience in managing client interactions and addressing challenges, maintaining a positive attitude and focus on solutions.

Emotional Intelligence: Build strong relationships with clients and internal teams by demonstrating empathy, self-awareness, and effective interpersonal skills.

Creativity: Use creative thinking to design tailored solutions and presentations, addressing client-specific challenges and needs in innovative ways.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

This role is ideal for a candidate with strong financial knowledge, technical expertise in EPM systems, and a consultative approach to help shape new business processes and support ongoing client growth.

  • Growth Mindset
  • Consultancy / delivery experience in EPM solutions; ideally SAP and/or CCH Tagetik
  • Accounting qualification (essential)
  • A strong understanding of finance
  • Pre-sales/Solution Architect & Consultative selling experience
  • Travel to on-site prospect meetings as required
  • UK Driving License essential
