Job Overview
As a family business we are looking to recruit energetic customer facing individuals to work part-time in a busy pottery painting shop in S11.
Initially focused on work in the main shop you may also be required to work on children's parties when they happen
Main Duties
Contribute to ensure the shop runs smoothly, welcoming new and repeat customers with a smile and an introduction to the their pottery painting experience.
Ensure customers are well cared during their time in the shop, ideally using your creative skills to support where needed or to simply help with refreshments.
Package the completed pots when they have come out of the kiln, correctly and accurately
Support with contacting customers when their pottery is ready, pack the pottery safely and always greet customers with a smile.
Maintain Shop Appearance: Ensure the shop is clean, organized, and visually appealing before, between and after each session and at the end of the shift
During each shift, keep track of stock levels and clean and refresh all supplies to ensure the customers have what they need to enjoy their experience.
Prepare party food/Afternoon Tea as and when requested.
After a time, learn to fill, empty the kiln and glazing
What We're Looking For:
Creative Skills: A keen eye for design and a love for creating and helping people create art.
Customer Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for helping and engaging with customers.
Passion for Pottery: A deep appreciation for ceramics and the creative process.
Flexibility: Ability to work weekends and holidays as the main times to work
Experience: Previous retail work experience would be ideal but not essential.
Expected hours: mostly daytime at weekend/in holidays with occasional evening shifts offered.
Salary is minimum wage based on your age and experience
Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
Pay: £12.21-£12.22 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 20 per week
