Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pipelayer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of pipelines used for water, gas, and sewage systems. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices and the ability to work effectively with various tools and machinery. The Pipelayer will collaborate with other team members to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain pipelines for water, gas, and sewage systems.
- Operate excavators and other heavy machinery to prepare sites for pipeline installation.
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble and install piping systems.
- Conduct welding tasks as needed for pipe connections.
- Ensure proper alignment and grading of pipes during installation.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on installed pipelines.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed on-site.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Pipelayer or in a similar construction role is preferred.
- Familiarity with operating excavators and other heavy machinery is essential.
- Experience with welding techniques is advantageous.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to pipeline installation.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues that may arise during installation.
