The applicant must have a previous experience in the role of Physiotherapy Assistant / Physiotherapy Technical Instructor within acute NHS cancer/oncology/neuro care. Would be ideal for someone who does not have HCPC registration.
Candidates require excellent written and spoken English as well as excellent team working skills, adaptability and flexibility.
There is a requirement for flexible working as the service operates over 7 days and bank holidays on a rostered system.

Provide routine Physiotherapy assessment and treatment sessions independently, as directed by team lead. Assist physiotherapy team to deliver a high quality and effective service within the acute hospital, community locations and patient’s homes.

- Assist qualified Physiotherapy staff in delivering a high quality and effective Physiotherapy service to patients.
- Treat patients according to department standards/protocols both individually and in group settings.
- Complete basic patient assessments independently, as directed by qualified Physiotherapists.
- Carry out and progress rehab plans as set by qualified Physiotherapists.
- Report back to Physiotherapists on progress of patients.
- Ensure the department/physio areas on ward are kept clean and tidy
- Stock take and inventory of physiotherapy equipment with Physiotherapy Assistants.
- Be willing to rotate to other clinical areas, including off site locations and/or patient homes.
- Be an active part of the 7 day working rota as required.
- Ensure ward books and stats are up to date.
- Be flexible to assist in other teams during times of staff shortage, including teams in community locations.
- Attend all relevant training as directed by team lead.
