Keyholder/ Supervisor
Working 20-35 hours a week including weekends over 3-5 days
Planet Pets is based on the Royal Quays outlet centre and sells a range of animals and aquatics. If you are a sales driven, entrepreneurial individual with a business mind and a passion for aquatics then we want to hear from you!
We are looking for an experienced person who has previously worked in a pet shop to join our store which sells aquatics and reptiles. We have a range of tropical and cold water fish and then a selection of reptiles, inverts, birds and small animals. We then stock a range of dry foods and accessories for dogs and cats and all the above and we serve a range of customers every week from passing trade to our local regulars.
You will be responsible for serving customers, caring for the animals as well as ordering, paperwork, compliance, dealing with queries and advertising on social media.
A strong knowledge of animals and a pet shop background is essential (this is not a learn on the job opportunity). You will be tested in interview across all knowledge areas including identifying fish and their care, small animal and reptile knowledge. You will need to advise customers in all areas and refine the product range throughout the year to push margin and drive sales.

We can be flexible to the hours and this could be part time for 3 days a week, up to 5 days (aprox 35h). More hours may be required occasionally to cover holidays and for out of hours delivery's, meeting's etc.
