The Role of an technician:
We have opportunities for an experienced Field Biologist to cover our contracts in North West, East Midlands & West Midlands. The technician must be able to complete excellent pest management comprising of comprehensive detailed reports to include management of rodents, crawling insects, flying insects, bird control and wildlife.
The team comprises of 2 persons to complete routine inspections of our customers premises, identifying pest activity, locating ingress points and potential remedial works required to prevent further problems, servicing flying insect units and servicing rodent and crawling insect stations.
This role involves being on call for urgent reactive call outs 1 week on-call 1 week off-call with occasional stay away nights. Out of hours call-outs between 7pm to 5am are paid at time and half with Sunday working also paid at time and half.
Team members will be fully trained in roof maintenance, it is a requirement to also conduct roof maintenance assisting the existing qualified roofing technician.
A head for heights is a requirement for both pest management and roof maintenance with the eagerness to learn as the company and colleagues develop.
Working Days & Times:
Monday – Thursday (4 days per week - overtime available)
7am – 4pm (32 hours per week) - 1 hours unpaid break per day.
It is a requirement for our Engineers to be flexible and assistance with time management from our leadership team to support our customer in urgent reactive works outside of our scheduled working hours when required.
Requirements:
- One main trade qualification RSPH Level 2 In Pest Management
- Certificated Technical Inspector/Certificated Field Biologist
· 2 years minimum experience in carrying out pest control services.
· Experience in bird proofing (advantageous but not a requirement)
- An understanding and be able to use effectively (after training) equipment and processes which may be reasonably required by the Company
- Experience and a passion for delivering high quality services to a diverse range of customers
· Good communication skills, written and verbal, and be confident dealing with customers at all levels.
- PASMA certification (advantageous but not a requirement)
- IPAF certification (advantageous but not a requirement)
- Experience for drone piloting (advantageous but not a requirement)
- Full UK driving licence
