Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist lawyers in preparing for hearings, trials, and meetings, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and organised. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Duties
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases.
- Draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Organise and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are up to date.
- Assist in the preparation of trial materials and exhibits.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal proceedings.
- Manage schedules for attorneys, including appointments and court dates.
- Utilise software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook to create documents and manage communications.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times.
Requirements
- Proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with IT systems relevant to legal practice is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Previous experience as a paralegal or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- A keen attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
