Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate keen cook to produce good wholesome food for our 12 diners. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and cooking.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.
- Participate in inventory management, including stock rotation and reporting shortages.
- Provide support during service periods by assisting with plating and serving dishes.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is essential.
- Demonstrated skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal presentation.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices is highly desirable.
- Culinary experience or relevant qualifications would be advantageous but not mandatory.
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are crucial for success in this role.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.21-£13.05 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 20 per week
