About the Role
The Isle of Man Parole Committee is a statutory committee operating within the Isle of Man Criminal Justice System. The Parole Committee independently assesses requests for parole from long term prisoners under a discretionary conditional release licence and makes recommendations to the Minister for Home Affairs.
The Committee is seeking members who have a variety of life experiences and who can understand the different paths that can lead people into custody, and the commitment to rehabilitation for the benefit of the whole community.
Members of the Committee are compensated for their time and reasonable expenses for attending meetings.
