As part of this role you will co-lead a team of dysphagia trained Speech and Language Therapists and lead our neonatal in-reach provision. Your job clinically will be to provide expert clinical advice/ second opinions, intervention and management for a specialist complex caseload (dysphagia and neonates).
You should have experience working in paediatric dysphagia and neonates, meeting RCSLT competencies. Experience in Team leader responsibilities would be desirable; full supervision will be provided. We are able to offer this post as a stand alone post or in combination with the 0.5 wte Band 7 Neonate vacancy based at Hull Royal Infirmary.
To take the lead in day to day clinical delivery for neonates and joint responsibility for dysphagia caseload.
- To take provide expert clinical specialist management in children’s therapy relating to dysphagia and neonates.
- To be responsible for managing their own caseload and the supervision, education and assessment of students, assistants and junior therapists in their area. They will provide specialised advice to other professionals in this specific clinical area.
- To undertake evidence-based audit and research projects to further own and teams clinical practice.
