Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Outdoor Nursery Leader. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and possess excellent leadership skills. This role requires effective communication with both children and staff, ensuring a nurturing and safe environment for all.
Duties
- Construct outdoor learning sessions for children at could include learning about nature, wood work or forest school type sessions.
- Completing and following appropriate risk assessments
- Keeping the outdoor environment clean and tidy
- Following the Eco Schools Program.
- Helping the children to interact with the animals which currently include chickens, goat and horse.
- Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that promote children's learning and development.
- Foster positive relationships with children, ensuring their emotional and physical well-being.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating nursery environment that meets health and safety regulations.
- Organise activities that encourage social interaction, creativity, and exploration among children.
- Monitor children's behaviour and development
- Drive initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity within the nursery setting.
Requirements
- Outdoor qualifications is advantageous
- A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential.
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills in WELSH and English, both verbal and written.
- A genuine passion for childcare and early childhood education.
- Ability to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for children and families.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs within the nursery environment.
- A valid driving licence may be advantageous for transporting materials or attending off-site events.

Pay: From £12.40 per hour
