Location: Field based with regular travel across the South of the UK and to Nottingham Head Office
Salary: Up to £38,000 (dependent on experience)

About the Role
Omega Red Group is seeking a proactive and hands-on Operations Supervisor to support and oversee a team of field-based engineers responsible for testing lightning protection systems. This is a remote-first role, but it involves frequent site visits, audits, and travel across the South of the UK, including London, Bristol, and regular days at our Nottingham Head Office. Overnight stays may be required depending on operational needs.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring engineers are working safely and efficiently, with the right equipment, processes, and support in place. You’ll be their first point of contact for operational queries and will help maintain high standards of service delivery and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of lightning protection engineers across the South of the UK.
- Ensure engineers are equipped and prepared with the correct tools, PPE, and work instructions.
- Monitor and audit site activities to ensure compliance with health & safety and quality standards.
- Support the scheduling and delivery of works, helping to manage labour, materials, and costs.
- Provide technical and operational support to engineers and clients, fostering strong relationships.
- Conduct site surveys, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Drive performance and continuous improvement across the field team.
What We’re Looking For
- A confident, hands-on leader with experience in field operations or engineering supervision.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with engineers and clients.
- Flexibility to travel and stay away from home when required.
- Experience in lightning protection or fall protection is advantageous.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and construction-based health & safety practices.
