An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Room Leader to join a well-regarded nursery setting in the Islington area. We are recruiting on behalf of our client a respected childcare provider known for delivering high-quality early years education and care.
This role would suit a passionate Early Years professional with a minimum Level 3 qualification and proven experience leading a room or team. You’ll take responsibility for ensuring outstanding practice, inspiring your team, and creating an engaging environment where children can thrive.

Your Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of your designated room, ensuring high standards of care and education
- Provide leadership, support and guidance to team members
- Create and maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment
- Monitor and support the planning and implementation of EYFS-based activities
- Act as a key person to a group of children, maintaining accurate records of their development
- Work in partnership with parents, carers and professionals
- Support the development and mentoring of less experienced staff, students and apprentices
- Maintain compliance with safeguarding, health & safety and all relevant nursery policies
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification or above in Early Years
- Prior experience in a Room Leader or senior nursery practitioner role
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Enhanced DBS check
