Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education for children in our nursery setting. You will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the development of children aged from birth to five years. Your ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues will be essential in fostering positive relationships within the nursery.
Duties
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Manage daily routines, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in your care.
- Communicate effectively with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform planning and support individual needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive team environment that enhances the quality of care provided.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery space that reflects the needs of the children.
- Engage with parents and families, providing updates on their child's progress and encouraging their involvement in nursery activities.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is essential.
- A qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage small groups of children effectively.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact positively with children and adults alike.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and a drive to support their development within a nursery environment.
