Nursery Assistant

.Key Roles & Responsibilities:

· To ensure all children are safeguarded and their welfare, well being and safety are our primary priority

· To ensure and maintain the highest standard of care is delivered across all areas of our children’s development – Socially, Physically, Intellectually and Emotionally

· To have specific training and knowledge of working with toddlers and preschool, ensuring that their individual needs are met.

· To work as an integral part of a valued team to provide an enabling environment for all children to play, learn and develop

Main Duties:

· To follow and be consistently up to date with the nursery safeguarding procedure, ensuring all children are kept safe, healthy and secure

· To implement all skills and experience of working with children to support every individual child’s progression

· To share knowledge and experience to support other team members and ensure all individuals work within a consistent system to deliver the highest quality of care

· To keep records of individual key children’s development and learning journeys, ensuring parents are always considered as partners

· To ensure all staff are consistently developing their knowledge and skills so that they can deliver the best possible care for all children

· Undertake appropriate monthly supervision meetings

· Support all other team members to engage in effective team working – making communication key

· Attend all staff training days/meetings – support all team members who wish to seek any further development training

· Support new team members through effective inductions in line with the Nursery

Qualifications and Skills

- Experience working in childcare

- level 3 Qualification in Early Years or may consider level 2 if right candidate.

- first aid trained

- safeguarding trained

- must be DBS checked

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.00-£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 36 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

Experience:

• Nursery: 2 years (required)
