Sarting Salary: £25,500 per annum

Nursery Objectives:
We aim to help children in their physical, intellectual, emotional and social development through play, within a secure and caring environment. By providing facilities to meet every child's needs, we hope that they will grow in self-confidence, gain independence, learn new skills, and enjoy meeting other children and adults.
Communication and language development is given a high priority within the nursery. We also place great emphasis on providing equal opportunities for all our children. We aim to promote an understanding and valuing of their differences, and to build positive attitudes. In this way the children will begin to understand the diversity of the world they live in.
Duties will include:
- Maintain accurate and up to date records for all children including attendance registers and emergency contact numbers.
- Ensuring children's files are set up and filed.
- Accurate, complete and timely entering of data to Kindersoft.
- For example:
- Starters
- Leavers
- Extra sessions
- Change in sessions
- Change in room
- Dealing with all Nursery queries via telephone, email or face to face and transferring to the appropriate department where necessary, as well as undertaking reception duties including buzzing visitors and staff in.
- Processing of letters, Parents' information packs and other documents to Parents and staff as required by the Nursery manager or Area Manager.
- Issuance of Parents' contracts, application forms, collection of completed application forms, booking fees and deposits.
- Monitor the day‐to‐day financial operations, including payment of fees, collection of outstanding monies, within the Nursery.
- Issuing of monthly invoices/statements to Parents and ensuring all accounts are clear, concise and up to date.
- Organize show-rounds for potential clients.
- Create and send monthly newsletters to Parents.
- Assist with the organisation of school trips, including booking coaches and venues and recording of outing money.
- Ensure that all weekly, monthly reports and updates are sent to the appropriate persons e.g. HR Manager, Nursery Manager, Area Manager.
- Responsible for placing orders for various companies including office supplies, stationery, staff uniforms etc.
- Ensure that payroll notes are collated and sent to the Area Manager at the end of every month in readiness for payment of staff salaries.
- Carry out all appropriate checks for new employees.
- These may include: inviting applicants to interview,following up on all suitability checks, references.
- Carry out induction for new staff and ensure all new starter forms, documents and contracts are completed and the HR department.
- Undertake photocopying, filing and general office duties.
- Participate in training necessary for your performance development as required.
- Attend staff meetings, prepare reports, take minutes and any other duties as required.
- Maintaining a well organised and tidy Nursery office.
- Any other duties appropriate to the post as directed by the Nursery Manager and Area Manager.

E - Numeracy and Accuracy.
E - Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written ), at all levels and to a variety of audiences e.g. children, staff, parents, visitors.
E - Be able to establish and maintain good professional relationships with parents, children and colleagues
E - Able to work flexibly.
E - Able to prioritize workloads; have excellent time management and strong organizational skills.
E - Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
E - Produce accurate work.
E - Be able to use initiative.
E - Be confident in the use of Excel and Word.
D - English and Maths to GCSE.
D - Office experience of at least 2 years.
D - Understand the statutory requirements of legislation concerning Safeguarding, including Child Protection, Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety and inclusion.
