Night Shift Paint Sprayer

Due to continuous expansion within the business, we are looking for a skilled and experienced Industrial Paint Sprayer to prepare and coat structural steel components on our night shift on a permanent basis.
When available, overtime is paid at x 1.5, on a competitive hourly rate. The work hours are 16.30 - 03.00 Monday - Wednesday & 16.30 - 02.00 Thursday. Our recently constructed state-of-the-art facility in Derby offers excellent working conditions and high-quality health & safety and quality standards.
About the Role
A key responsibility is to ensure that the business meets its production/delivery schedule on time and that paint specs and client specifications are met to a high standard first time, every time. As a skilled Paint Sprayer, the successful candidate will follow all safety precautions whilst using Wagner & Graco airless pressure pumps and hand application on all types of structural steel such as columns, beams and rafters. You will liaise closely with the Fabricator Welders, Material Handler, Quality Assurance Inspectors and your Supervisor to ensure the smooth workflow of the factory operation.
Key Skills, Experience & Attributes
- At least 2 years’ experience in Industrial Paint Spraying.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, lists and works instructions.
- A working experience and knowledge of spray and hand application of primer coating processes and operations for structural steel.
- Certified and experienced in moving and rotating steel beams/girders using 10 Tonne overhead gantry cranes.
- Have experience in quality checks such as DFT/WFT and surface preparation.
- Work to high quality standards with the ability to inspect your own work.
