Job Description
As Night Porter, you will be the main point of contact during the night and play a key role in ensuring the smooth running and security of the hotel overnight. This varied position requires a hands-on approach, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to respond effectively to any situation.
The responsibility.
- Provide a friendly and professional welcome to guests during night-time check-ins and check-outs
- Carry out regular security and safety checks throughout the premises
- Manage and respond to any emergency situations in line with hotel procedures
- Perform general cleaning duties to maintain high standards of cleanliness in public areas
- Provide bar service to guests in accordance with licensing laws
- Complete reception duties, including taking bookings and handling enquiries
- Prepare for the following day’s operations as instructed by management
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and remain calm under pressure
- Trustworthy, professional, and well-presented
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and public holidays
- Basic IT skills for using hotel booking systems
This is a 30 hours per week role involving night shifts between 21:00 and 06:00
