Applicants should ideally have experience of working in a hotel environment or worked in a similar job role and be able to provide two good references. You will be required to work three/four eight-hour shifts per week (22.00 - 07.00) and cover holidays where necessary. Good command of English language.
As Night Porter your role will involve completing tasks accurately and within given deadlines, ensuing all tasks are completed on each shift and that a full and thorough handover takes place at the end of the shift.
Be responsible for the security of the hotel and its guests overnight. Ensure all access to the hotel is secure as required by hotel policy and procedure.
Duties include:
Reception, welcoming guests, check in's, assisting guests with any requests e.g. information, making bookings, directions.
Other duties include night auditing, cleaning, fire walks, security checks, conference set up, ensuring that the forecourt and lobby are kept clean and tidy at all times and generally being available and ready to assist where necessary.
Handle, follow up and communicate any comments or complaints, passing on all relevant information in a hand over to the correct Manager.
Health and Safety; report all potential and hazards immediately. Complete all incident reports and distribute to relevant departments.
Candidates should have a polished personal presentation and be confident in interacting with individuals at all different levels.
