Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Night Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in their own homes or within a care home setting. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to follow care plans meticulously while ensuring the comfort and dignity of those we serve. A valid driving licence is preferred, as you may be required to travel between clients.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Support clients in maintaining their independence and dignity while providing emotional support and companionship.
- Follow individual care plans and report any changes in the client’s condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with team members and family members.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate.
Experience
- Previous experience in home care or a similar role is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills in English are required to interact effectively with clients and their families.
- Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them diligently is essential for this role.
- A willingness to learn and adapt within a dynamic environment is crucial for success as a Care Assistant.
